Our range of filtration devices and accessories matches perfectly the routine processes in the microbiological laboratory and facilitates your daily practical work.
For example, our stainless steel vacuum filtration devices feature self-sealing funnels. For this reason locking of funnel and filtration base isn’t necessary, which both saves time and minimizes the risk of damaging the membrane by shear force.
In the filtration manifold the filtration units are attached only by plug connection and, therefore, can be removed very easily. This simplifies cleaning and sterilization. procedures The combination of our filtration units with diameters of 50mm and 80mm on the manifold is possible. Due to the compact design our manifold is suitable for working in the clean bench.
A unique and very helpful tool is our special tweezers. By using this tweezers membrane filters can easily be rolled up after the filtration step and transferred into narrow neck bottles and tubes.
The ideal complement for the nutrient pads are the ampoules with 3.5mL sterile water. They contain exactly the required volume of water to optimally wet the nutrient pads. The resulting excess of liquid is necessary to replenish the loss of water by evaporation during the incubation and to keep the nutrient pads moist. So, it is made sure that the dissolved nutrients are available for the microorganisms on top of the membrane filter during the whole incubation time.
