Nutrient Pad Sets

Nutrient Pad Sets (NPS) are sterile, dehydrated nutrient culture media, ready for immediate use after addition of 3.5mL sterile water. The substrate of the NPS is made of a biologically inert cellulose cardboard that does bind the nutrient medium neither chemically nor physically. For this reason the nutrient components are completely available for the development of microorganisms. Therefore, generally better and faster growth can be achieved with NPS as compared to conventional agar media.

Our NPS are delivered in Petri dishes and with sterile, individual packed membranes. The diameter of the membranes is usually 50mm, but on request membranes with 47mm are an option. We can also provide membranes for the most membrane dispenser systems.

The shelf life at ambient temperature is up to 2 years dependent on the grade..
