Brettanomyces-NPS

For the detection of Brettanomyces yeasts from wine, selective by optical differentiation.

Brettanomyces yeasts form yellow to yellow-orange colonies with yellow halo. They are easy to differentiate from other yeasts, which grow as white to beige-coloured colonies. Additionally the growth of other yeasts are inhibited to a large extend by Actidione (cycloheximid).

Membrane filter: Green with 0.45µm pore size
Recommended incubation condition: 3-5 days at 30°C
