Lysine-NPS
Medium selective for detection of wild yeasts in breweries.
Only wild yeasts can use Lysine as sole source of nitrogen, while culture yeasts of genus Saccharomyces are not able to grow. Wild yeasts form white to beige-coloured sometimes reddish (Rhodotorula) colonies.
Membrane filter: Green with 1.2µm pore size
Recommended incubation condition: 2-5 days at 25-30°C
